In the event that the match is contested on a Sunday, requests for accreditations, to single events, must be submitted at least 48 hours before the match for which the access is requested; in the event that it is contested on any other day of the week, accreditations must be submitted 24 hours before the match for which the access is requested.

Accreditations to single events can also be issued to journalists holding a CONI press card, provided that they communicate their intention to attend, giving at least 48 hours notice in cases where the event is to take place on a Sunday, and with 24 hours notice in cases where the event takes place on any other day of the week.

MANAGEMENT OF THE PRESS BOX

Basket Brescia Leonessa is in charge of managing the seats in the press box, in accordance to the following regulations:

  • max 2 accreditations for national sports newspapers
  • max 1 accreditation for national non-sports newspapers – max 2 accreditations for local newspapers
  • max 2 accreditations for specialized weekly newspapers

In all case, the club is entitiled to grant a higher number of accreditations per newspaper, as well as to evaluate individual cases for requests submitted after the deadlines, including the possibility of not granting them.

As for websites, blogs etc. that are not classified as newspapers, the club will decide whether or not to grant accreditations to single events, taking into account the availability of seats and the possibility of entering the sports hall.

In the event of a surplus of entitled requets, with respect to the capacity of the sports hall, the criteria for access to the main press box will be defined as follows:

  • a maximum of 2 seats each for newspapers, agencies, national TV and radio, with priority being given to sports newspapers and to the television broadcaster holding the championship transmission rights at the national level
  • 1 seat for other newspapers, with priority being given to the accreditations received first.

As for the interviews to the players at the end of the match, a special Mixed Zone will be set up at PalaLeonessa.

The pass related to the single event released to the press will allow communication operators access to the Mixed Zone, where two or three Germani Basket Brescia players will always be available to provide interviews. In the post-match interviews, priority will be given to live television or radio stations.

At the end of the game, Basket Brescia’s players will not enter the press room, which will be solely used as a place where the two coaches will hold their press conferences.

PHOTOGRAPHERS

The access of photographers wishing to access the sports halls during the sports season in order to carry out their professional activity must follow the rules of Lega Basket Media Regulation, provided for by Chapter 4 – Section II and by Annex 7.

All photographers must request specific authorization valid for the season (‘Photographer Seasonal Accreditation’) to Lega Basket, no later than September 30 and according to the procedures specified in Annex 7.

Only the photographers in possession of the ‘Photographer Seasonal Accreditation’ can subsequently submit to the Home Club a request for access to the sports hall for a single match.

Any occasional requests for access to the sports hall must be forwarded and specifically approved
by Lega Basket. The number of accreditations available for each match will depend on the capacity of the sports hall and will be determined by the club within the limits set out in Annex 7.

Inside the sports hall, accredited photographers must respect the regulations of FIP (the Italian Basketball Federation), Lega Basket and the Media Regulation, as well as any provisions that shall be provided by the home club from time to time. In any case, the sports officials will be able to change the positioning of the photographers.

It is strictly forbidden for photographers to enter the field of play at any time. Photographers will be restricted to the sidelines so that they do not impede the regular running of the event. Their location at the edge of the court must not in any way interfere with the work of referees, players and technicians and must not constitute an obstacle to the television cameras capturing the posters and advertising signs (leds and borders).

Photographers and operators will be identified through a special bib that will be provided to them before the start of the game, which must be returned at the end. They must not enter onto the court while the teams warm-up (with the exception of prize-giving events in the center of the court before the match), during the match, and especially at the end of the match, except for the official TV, the official photo Agency of the club, the official photo Agency of the visiting team and the official photo Agency of Lega Basket. Therefore, the shooting of teams in lines and in groups before the start of matches, and any exultation and greeting to the public at the end of each match must be taken from outside the area of the court.
